Bulgaria grand tour

Day 1 – SOFIA
Arrival in Sofia. 

Day 2 –ASENOVGRAD- BACHKOVO MONASTERY – PLOVDIV 
Departure to Assenovgrad-Visit of the Asenova Fortress (Byzantine time) and Bachkovo Monastery.
Departure towards Plovdiv - sightseeing 
(the Antique Theatre, The Roman Stadium, walk around Old Plovdiv)

Day 3 – PLOVDIV–BOURGAS–NESSEBAR
Drive to Bourgas – Arrival in Nessebar (via Bourgas) antique town from the List of UNESCO, one of the oldest in Europe with plenty of churches.

Day 4 – VARNA
Departure to Varna. Sightseeing tour of Varna
2500 years old town on the Black Sea. Visit the Roman Terms, the Art and History Museum with the oldest Gold Treasure in the world.

Day 5 – VARNA – MADARA - SHUMEN – ROUSE
Departure towards Madara cross the Rock Fortress and visit the monument "Madara Horseman” (bas –relief – in the UNESCO List.Sightseeing in Shumen – visit the Tombul Mosque,
one of the most beautiful turkish buildings. Heading to Razgrad, short stop at the Abritus Museum and the amasing Exhibition "Vestiges of the antiquity". Next comes a trip to the discovered Sveshtari Tomb – in the UNESCO List.  Arrival in Rouse – town on Danube River.

Day 6 –ROUSE – IVANOVO –-VELIKO TARNOVO
Departure for the village of Ivanovo to visit the famous rock churches. Head to the town of Veliko Tarnovo - the capital of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom – after that sightseeing – visiting museums and the mediaeval fortress of Tsarevets Sound-and-light night show of the Tsarevets mediaeval fortress.

Day 7 - VELIKO TARNOVO –ARBANASSI - GABROVO–ETURA–SHIPKA –KAZANLAK
Visiting the small town of Arbanassi (4 km away from Veliko Tarnovo) -
the Kostantsaliev House and the Nativity of Christ Church.
Next - ddeparture towards Gabrovo – the city of humor ,Visit the famous open - air ethnographic complex Etura.Next, you will head towards the Memorial Church of Shipka and the Valley of the Tracian Kings
The tour continues with visit of the Thracian Tomb in Kazanluk (UNESCO site)

Day 8 – KAZANLAK- KALOFER - KOPRIVSHTITZA – SOFIA
Drive to Kalofer – short stop for sightseeing. Next, departure to Koprivshtitza - full of old Bulgarian houses – typical Bulgarian atmosphere. City Tour .Departure to the town of Sofia

Day 9– SOFIA– RILA MONASTERY - SOFIA
After breakfast comes a departure to the most famous place in Bulgaria – the Rila Monastery.
Departure to Sofia and free time

Day 10 – SOFIA – DEPARTURE 

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.
